Team Work101

My GEM of a husband & I have a secret weapon that brings us tighter than   peanut butter and jelly ... ‪#Hehehe‬, We're book worms and every chance we get, we purchase a book, discuss what we've read and slip our coffee or tea while we giggle like kids ... ‪#HaLLeLuJaH‬,

My Love Boat carefully read, kissed me in between the turning of each page and his face lit up (just like a little kid with a new toy) while he picked up some helpful tips from this book ... Automotive Air Conditioning Handbook, Installation, Maintenance & Repair - By John E Traister

In my case, I slowly read, savored, took notes, laughed and felt that every single time I turned a page, spoke to me (just where I needed the most) ...

Can You Tell This Is a Knockoof? By Missy Horsfall & Jocelyn Hamsher
Each couple should ask Jesus Christ (in prayer) to place in their hearts a unique activity that both of you can enjoy during any kind of weather, in our case we created our own book club ...  ‪#TeamWork101‬,

"Dear Husbands"

When your day seems to overwhelm you, keep in mind this loving though ...

Proverbs 5:18-19 (NCV)
18. Be happy with the wife you married when you were young. She gives you joy, as your fountain gives you water. ...
19. She is as lovely and graceful as a deer. Let her love always make you happy; let her love always hold you captive.

Two Mingling Souls

Image result for 2 people in love
Romance involves the passionate mingling of 2 souls, a pair of kindred spirits (soul- mates) who enjoy being with one and other, while partaking of a loving spirit of patience, along the way ... That's another definition for love, on account of this ...

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (ESV) -
4. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5. Or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 . It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

God Still Talks

27 years ago, my GEM & I got engaged. I can remember it as if was yesterday! Now, before the Lord brought my Island Boy into my life, God prophesied through various people that I'd meet the love of my life and he would arrive, when I needed him the most ... ‪#‎Hallelujah‬,

You see, my mother was extremely ill, but she'd always take me to McDonalds to celebrate Valentine's Day ... Our conversation were always the same, she wanted to leave me in loving hands ... Furthermore, when my father met my Love Boat, my Papi said yes to our engagement and that the God placed in his heart that we we're destined for each other and that we should get married within 3 months ... Another confirmation of the prophecies that were given to us from people far and near and especially from strangers, too ...  ‪#‎GodStillTalks‬,

Most couples experience several stages in their marriage before they reach the ability to commit to truly loving a real and admittedly imperfect person ... It takes time, patience and true love (the of love that flows from the heart; instead of the mouth) ...

Love that Flows

Most couples experience several stages in their marriage before they reach the ability to commit to   truly loving a real and admittedly imperfect person. It takes time, patience and true love (the kind of love that flows from the heart; instead of the mouth) ... One more thing, stop trying to change one another, instead choose to accept, one another and here's an excellent example of teamwork, too  ...

Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NCV) - Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together.

Thus, keep this in mind: before, during and after you two love birds start a project at home or outside ...

A Healthy Calibration

Good Morning Everyone:

Here's a bible verse that will help you through this freezing cold Friday morning  ...

Amos 3:3 (HCSB) - Can two walk together without agreeing to meet?

Now, Amos was one of the Twelve Minor Prophets, who lived in the kingdom of Judah; but he preached in the northern kingdom of Israel and his major themes were of social justice. Perhaps, your saying what does social justice have to do with marriage. Well, allow us to explain? You see, society nowadays tends to disregard the value of the institution of marriage and Amos is referring to walking in unity in every sense of the word ...

The Prophet Amos is asking the past generations and present generations too, how can a couple, friends and/or people who work in the same ministry work together if their isn't any kind of healthy calibration? For instance, if a couple is at odds while their preparing dinner, then something that used to taste great, might lose it's flavor. Or if the couple is expecting company on a certain night and the husband & wife had a BIG verbal argument before the guests arrived, without them saying a word, the atmosphere will definitely feel strange. That being said, if you two love birds are upset, reconcile; so that evening will end in a harmonious way. Remember, memories take time to create; but if your not careful, then old or new wounds will erase them from your mind and heart ...

Embrace, Small Gestures

In what ways can you demonstrate your unconditional love for your spouse?

  1. If you to had a misunderstanding last night, then don't start your Thursday with yesterday mess. Say I'm sorry from the heart, not the mouth ...
  2. Whoever waits up first and has a little extra time before they leave for school or work, make a loving attempt to prepare a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot coco for your spouse ...
  3.  Send a surprise e-mail from your job, leave a love note in a special place at home and/or stop by at lunch time with something delicious to eat for your spouse ...

These are only a few helpful tips that can turn your marriage into a second honeymoon. Or have you forgotten this?

Colossians 3:13 (ESV) - Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Don't Go Cuckoo Cuckoo

Here's a few bumps in the road of a couple that's only been married for one year ...

A. The squeezing of the toothpaste, especially in the middle of the tube.

B. Leaving dirty clothes lying around, instead of putting it in the hamper.
C. Wearing unattractive lingerie to bed.

If you and your spouse can see past these issues, then that's the foundation to a strong marriage. However, don't forget that both of you should discuss what these concerns are doing to your relationship; because it you don't, it can drive you "cuckoo cuckoo" ...

Oh yea, add this to the mix too ...

Colossians 3:14 (ESV) - And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Then you'll see how easy it is to deal with each others tendencies ... #Food4Thought,
