A Healthy Calibration

Good Morning Everyone:

Here's a bible verse that will help you through this freezing cold Friday morning  ...

Amos 3:3 (HCSB) - Can two walk together without agreeing to meet?

Now, Amos was one of the Twelve Minor Prophets, who lived in the kingdom of Judah; but he preached in the northern kingdom of Israel and his major themes were of social justice. Perhaps, your saying what does social justice have to do with marriage. Well, allow us to explain? You see, society nowadays tends to disregard the value of the institution of marriage and Amos is referring to walking in unity in every sense of the word ...

The Prophet Amos is asking the past generations and present generations too, how can a couple, friends and/or people who work in the same ministry work together if their isn't any kind of healthy calibration? For instance, if a couple is at odds while their preparing dinner, then something that used to taste great, might lose it's flavor. Or if the couple is expecting company on a certain night and the husband & wife had a BIG verbal argument before the guests arrived, without them saying a word, the atmosphere will definitely feel strange. That being said, if you two love birds are upset, reconcile; so that evening will end in a harmonious way. Remember, memories take time to create; but if your not careful, then old or new wounds will erase them from your mind and heart ...
